Delivery and shipping.

Pick it up in Old Harbour, or have it delivered and installed at a firm quoted price.

1. Two ways to receive your order

  • Pickup at our Old Harbour shop — pay now at checkout and collect when ready. Best for small accessories and parts.
  • Delivery and/or installation — submit your order, we send you a firm written quote covering delivery, install, and any access considerations, and you pay only after you accept the quote.

2. Pickup at our Old Harbour shop

  • Address — Evans Plaza, Shop 12, 20 Marlie Mount, Old Harbour, St Catherine
  • Pickup hours — Mon–Fri 9 AM – 5 PM, Sat 10 AM – 2 PM (we will confirm your specific pickup window in the order email)
  • What to bring — your order number and a valid government-issued photo ID. If someone else is collecting on your behalf, reply to your order email with their name and they will need ID too.
  • How long we hold it— 14 days from the ready-for-pickup notice. After that we'll get in touch to arrange next steps.

Pickup may be unavailable on public holidays or if the shop is temporarily closed. We will say so on the site if that's the case.

3. Delivery and installation pricing

Delivery and installation pricing is set per location and per need. There is no flat shipping fee and no free-shipping threshold. After you submit a delivery or install order:

  • We review the parish, weight, access, and any site notes you provided
  • We send you a firm written quote within 72 hours
  • Nothing is charged until you accept the quote. The price you accept is the price you pay — see our terms (Quote validity).
  • Quotes are valid for 7 days unless we say otherwise on the quote

4. Parish-rate guide (informational only)

The bands below are a rough guide to where typical small-to-medium deliveries land. These are not prices and are not binding. Your firm quote may be inside, below, or above the band based on weight, access, stairs, lift availability, distance from the road, and any other site-specific factor.

  • Inner-corridor (Kingston, St Andrew, St Catherine — typical) — lower band
  • Mid-island (Clarendon, Manchester — typical) — mid band
  • Outer parishes (St Thomas, Portland, St Mary, St Ann, Trelawny, St James, Hanover, Westmoreland, St Elizabeth — typical) — upper band
  • Bulky items (condensers, floor-standing units, solar panels, batteries, inverters) — additional handling above the band

Whatever the band suggests, your firm quote is set before you pay. We do not use "subject to change" pricing.

5. Lead times

  • In-stock products (pickup) — usually ready within 1–2 business days
  • In-stock products (delivery) — dispatched 1–2 business days after quote payment; delivered in 2–5 business days depending on parish
  • Special orders — typically 7–21 business days depending on supplier and shipping
  • Installation appointments — usually 3–10 business days after quote payment, subject to technician availability
  • Solar systems — site survey within 5 business days of quote payment; install scheduled after equipment arrival and JPS clearance

Lead times start when payment is fully received and cleared.

6. On the day of delivery

  • We'll call or WhatsApp 30–60 minutes before arrival on the number you provided
  • Someone aged 18 or older must be on site to receive the parcel and sign the proof of delivery
  • Inspect the parcel before signing. If you see external damage, refuse delivery or note the damage on the waybill.
  • Report any concealed damage within 48 hours so we can lodge a carrier claim

7. Customer reachability and missed deliveries

Stay reachable on the day of delivery. If we cannot reach you on the number provided and the delivery cannot be completed, the parcel returns to our warehouse and a redelivery fee may apply. Repeated failed deliveries may result in the order being held for pickup or cancelled per our refunds policy.

8. Installation appointments

When installation is part of your order:

  • A scheduler will reach out within 1 business day of quote payment to confirm a date and time window
  • Site preparation requirements are shared in writing before the appointment
  • Customer obligations on the day (safe access, electrical supply, mounting surface, WiFi for smart units, adult on site) are set out in our terms
  • If site conditions on arrival prevent safe installation, we may reschedule and a return-trip fee may apply

9. Risk of loss

Risk of loss passes to you on handover — at the moment we hand the parcel to you (or your authorised receiver) at the delivery address, or at the moment you collect at our shop. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by an incorrect address you provided, by an unauthorised person accepting your parcel, or by instructions to leave a parcel unattended.

10. International orders

We currently ship within Jamaica only. International enquiries can be sent to admin@somethingcoolenterprise.com and are handled case by case.
