Yes. The Mutabank 10 kW hybrid inverter we install is on the JPS-approved interconnection list, compatible with the standard 230/240V single-phase service.
Grid-tie is cheaper but shuts off during JPS outages. Hybrid adds battery storage, costs more upfront, but keeps your essentials running through outages. If JPS reliability is a concern in your parish, hybrid is the better long-term call.
Most customers size for fans, lights, fridge, internet router, and one AC zone — that's typically 5–10 kWh of storage. Whole-house backup including multiple ACs needs 15+ kWh and a careful load study.
10 years on the Mutabank inverter, 10 years on lithium battery cells, 5 years on the battery management system. Plus 5-year labour warranty on our installation work.
Yes — we retrofit hybrid inverters and batteries to existing grid-tie installs regularly. Whether the existing panels and wiring can stay depends on age, condition, and JPS interconnection terms; we assess on-site before quoting.
